What kind of samples are collected?

  • Both bacteriological and chemical water samples are collected on wells serving private homes and commercial establishments regulated by Cole County Health Department.
  • Food samples collected for a food borne disease outbreak investigation.
  • Mosquito samples are collected throughout mosquito season, and are tested for West Nile Virus as well as other mosquito carrying diseases.
